What was once a live construction site is now a finished development, delivered through the
hard work, precision, and collaboration of everyone involved.
This project has been documented every step of the way — from early works through to the
final result — with full photography, drone, and film capturing the journey.

We recently had the pleasure of hosting an informative tour of Elaine Herbert House at The Great Hospital, Norwich.
The visit was led by Trevor Terrington from Smith of Honingham alongside Jonathan Smith, Director, and Shaun Long from Rossi Long Consulting representing the Norwich Forum for the Construction Industry.
It was a good opportunity to bring industry colleagues together and share progress on site.
The new building has been carefully designed to sit comfortably alongside the existing structures, some of which date back to 1249. Working within such an historic setting requires real attention to detail and respect for the surroundings.
The ground-floor flint elevations and the transition into the first-floor brickwork are particularly impressive. It’s not something you see every day, and the finish really reflects the quality of workmanship involved.
At Smith of Honingham, we’re proud to be part of projects that combine traditional materials with modern construction standards. Working closely with Cowper Griffith Architects LLP and Rossi Long Consulting, it’s been a collaborative effort throughout.
